Here at homify, we love to see a home that perfectly fits its surroundings. In fact, we feel that location ought to be a source of inspiration in the design of a home. Today on homify360 we will be exploring one such home in Argentina by Study Geya. Its sultry, modern design is perfect for the hot climate where it is situated. Its look is akin to other coastal homes on the continent, and we’re glad to see that this trend is spreading.
The design team constructed a spacious abode with a phenomenal outdoor set up, so cooling off is easy everywhere on the property. Specifically, the home is equipped with an in-ground pool, large shaded patio, balcony terrace, and courtyard. As for the interior, it is sleek, stylish, and fitted with all the essentials. We hope you’ll come along with us as we explore this mod masterpiece.
From the outside we can see that the home has a sleek modern design. The structure is predominantly made up of box-like segments, a trademark of this style of architecture. Further, the top half is more imposing than the bottom storey.
We love the use of red accenting on the exterior because it helps give the home a more sultry and vibrant feel. The high walls help to maintain the family’s privacy, as this home is located on a street corner.
As you might have expected, the interior is designed in a modern-contemporary fashion that coincides with the look of the home’s exterior. The neutral colour scheme is also accented in bold red tones.
Another striking decorative feature in this room is the grey and white striped platform on which the TV is mounted. Meanwhile, the recessed LED lights offer plenty of illumination.
Interestingly, the kitchen is situated so that it catches lots of natural light through the horizontally oriented windows that run along the far wall. We see a similar colour scheme here: whites and neutrals accented in bold shades of red.
The extended kitchen island helps to give the kitchen a galley layout that is space efficient enough to allow for a dining table to fit here as well.
The bedroom is simple, though the bright coloured bed linens and high ceilings give it a vibrant atmosphere. As we can see from this angle, the bedroom also opens out to a second storey terrace lined with lush tropical plants.
While there are other lovely outdoor spaces included in the home, this one is reserved for the homeowner who occupies this master bedroom. What a wonderful private luxury!
The home’s interiors are spacious and minimal largely because in a climate like this one, the inhabitants spend plenty of time outdoors. Therefore, the design team put a lot of effort into designing outdoor spaces that were equally as liveable. From this angle we can see that the balcony was placed so that it overlooks this beautiful pool area.
Moreover, the large windows and doors that separate the patio area from the interior are made of translucent glass, which further helps to connect the two portions of the home.
This fully furnished patio serves as a second living room for the family. This time those bold red accents play a more central role in the colour scheme, which adds to the vibrant feel of a balmy evening in Argentina.
The two rows of overhead lights make the space pleasant in the evenings, and the fact that this area is covered facilitates time spent outdoors despite the weather.
