The before was certainly no horror show, but nor was it anything to look twice at! It appeared to be a little stuck in the past, lacking a fresh and contemporary zest.
The bed sits, rather unremarkably, in the room – no headboard marking its centrality, just a dated chandelier hovering above.
The bedside tables are equally dated and drab. But, luckily, this was not the end of this bedroom's story.

Not only has the bed been given a headboard, but elaborate wall ornamentation to! This back wall takes centre stage and forms the perfect backdrop for the plush headboard and bed furnishings. The new chandelier has an edgier and more contemporary appeal. The edgy accent is picked up by the black bedside lamps the sit atop the matching side tables. Everything is in perfect symmetry – well, from this angle anyway!

Even the mirror are in perfect symmetry! The design doesn't shy away from a mix of colours and patterns – neutral and subtle, though. The bed, itself, has three different fabrics adorning its large base – and that doesn't even account for the headboard material. The selections are carefully considered and perfectly composed – not too little, not too much – it's difficult to fault.
The curtains, that drape down over the large french doors, pick up another colour and texture. The room has a beauty reminiscent of regal spaces!
The opposite wall is a little less lavish and a whole lot more functional – but not in an unappealing utilitarian way. The wall mounted shelving unit frames the television screen and provides space for decorative elements and picture frames.
