George Buchanan Architects were appointed to design a contemporary house extension and a series of internal alterations to an existing dwelling, located within the Westerlands Development in Anniesland, Glasgow.

The proposals sought to provide a new, modern family kitchen, dining and living space, linking to the garden. The use of a limited palette of materials together with contemporary detailing create a simple, elegant addition to this family home. The space is further enhanced by sliding corner glass doors, which open the space out onto a new decked area and the garden beyond. The project completed September 2012.
